Membership Benefits

England Athletics

The club pays your registration fee to England Athletics. You should receive a competition licence card each year which will show your registration number. This will enable you to avoid the "unaffiliated" surcharge - usually £2 - that is added to the entry fee for most open races. Your registration pack will also include details of other offers and discounts. You can use the licence card to prove your membership in order to qualify for the discounts shown below.

Cross-Country and Road

All cross-country races organised by Ranelagh are free of charge. In addition the club pays the affiliation fees for cross-country Leagues and the entry fees for championships. Ranelagh organises two open road races each year and runs a summer road running Grand Prix series.

The Sweatshop

The Sweatshop was one of Britain's first specialist running shops and was founded by Olympic Gold Medallist, London Marathon founder and Ranelagh member Chris Brasher. The current CEO is Hugh Brasher, Chris's son and also a club member. Ranelagh members qualify for a 10% discount. The nearest branch is in Broad Street, Teddington.

Up & Running

Up & Running is the UK's largest independent specialist running retailer, with over 30 shops nationwide offering quality service, friendly and expert advice, and running shoe fitting with Dartfish technology; and Web Sales for when you can't get to a store. Ranelagh members qualify for a 10% discount. The nearest branch is in Upper Richmond Road, East Sheen.
